New Zealand’s two competitors in the men’s 3m springboard diving found the going tough.

Liam Stone finished eighth with a total of 397.90  points and Frazer Tavener was 12th with 312.60. The competition was won by Englishman Daniel Goodfellow, who totalled 484.45. 

In the qualifying round earlier in the day, Stone qualified in eight position with 387.85 points, and Tavener grabbed the 12th and final qualifying spot, with 326.40. The top qualifier was Australian Shixin Li with 456.65, but he could finish only fifth in the final.

There were 15 competitors in the event.
