The New Zealand Olympic Committee (NZOC) is proud to announce it’s partnering with the organisation which ensures our athletes have everything they need to perform at Games time.
Leading freight and logistics company Jacanna has signed on as an official partner with the New Zealand Team. The partnership has been a while in the making, with Jacanna having already worked as a supplier across the Tokyo Olympic Games, Beijing Winter Olympic Games and Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
The new partnership will see Jacanna support the New Zealand Team for upcoming elite Games by providing essential logistical support, while ensuring that freight delivers the equipment athletes need for Games time.
"We’re really proud to be partnering with the New Zealand Team," said Jacanna CEO, Blair Cosford.
“The brand reflects what we stand for at Jacanna and we’re excited to play a small part in helping our athletes perform at their peak in front of the whole world.”

Jacanna has encountered various freight challenges in previous collaborations with the New Zealand Team, including navigating international and country-specific rules and regulations.
"The most specific challenge would be sending food items to any country,” added Cosford.
"Food items are always the most challenging due to the strict regulations most countries have around importation of food. It takes time, documentation, and sometimes negotiations but we always get the athletes what they need in the end."
Cosford says his team was amazed at the range of items sent to on Games campaigns.
"When we were packing out to Tokyo games, I couldn't believe the extent of items which were shipped to the games to support the athletes and the New Zealand Team," said Cosford.
"Some of the more interesting pieces have included spa pools and even kitchen sinks. It's incredible to see the effort behind the scenes to ensure the athletes have everything they could possibly need."
A highlight for the Jacanna team is helping to deliver the New Zealand Team kit to athletes for Games time.
"It’s pretty cool for us be an instrumental part of the chain in getting the uniform to the athletes," said Cosford.
"It’s an item that everyone can relate back to the New Zealand Team and provides a feeling of success and gratitude to be a part of the process."
The New Zealand Olympic Committee is extremely grateful for the support of Jacanna, as they provide essential support in ensuring a smooth and successful journey for the New Zealand Team to Games.
