Junior Tasi

EVENT: Weightlifting Men's 109kg

Birmingham 2022 was the first Commonwealth Games for Junior Tasi who competes in the men's -109kg division.

Tasi has been lifting for more than 10 years, first competing internationally and showing huge potential at the Oceania Champs in 2013 in Brisbane.

Since moving to New Zealand Tasi has gone from strength to strength, setting a personal best of 143kg in the snatch and 192kg in the clean and jerk.

Tasi is based in the Hawkes Bay with his young family.
