Hemi Meikle

Hemi Meikle is from Wanaka and has been training with the Green Mountain Valley School in Vermont, USA. In the New Zealand winter, he trains with the Wanaka Ski Team and is a member of the Wanaka Snowsports Club.

Meikle started skiing when he was one and half years old in Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan. He started off with all mountain skiing and then joined a local racing team in Niseko and started to get into ski racing. The first season he spent in New Zealand was when he was 11 years old. 

His top results in 2023 include two 12th place finishes at the Wanaka FIS Tech Series Slalom races at Cardrona, scoring 60.46 and 65.71 points respectfully. He also achieved a 16th place finish at the Wanaka FIS Tech Series Giant Slalom Race.
