Weightlifting:

The women's weightlifting team brought excitement to the platform on Day 2, claiming a total of six medals.

Riana Froger's performance earned her a well-deserved bronze in the Women’s U59KG Clean & Jerk, along with another bronze in the Snatch / Clean & Jerk total.

Elizabeth Granger, also competing in the Women’s U59kg category, secured bronze in the Snatch.

Birmingham Commonwealth Games weightlifter Emma McIntyre added to the tally by clinching gold in the Women’s U65kg Snatch / Clean & Jerk (190kg Total), as well as silver in both the Snatch (83kg) and Clean & Jerk (107kg) categories.

Archery:

The Archery team endured some tricky conditions at the range today. Strong ocean wind and scorching heat didn’t make things easy.

Nuala Edmundson managed the conditions well to secure third place in the 720 Ranking Round, resulting in a bronze medal.

The combined scores from both Edmundson and teammate Finn Matheson positioned the team second overall in the Mixed Team and Continental Matchplay matches.

Table Tennis

The Men’s Para Table Tennis duo, comprising of Matt Hall and James Goulding, faced formidable opponents on Day 2. Despite a great effort, Papa New Guinea and Tahiti proved too strong, going down 4-1 and 5-0, respectively.

Both Hall and Goulding will be back in action on Thursday in the Men’s Para Singles.
