The Trinbago 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games saw some exciting beach volleyball action as both New Zealand teams took to the court.

The women’s team consisting of Kiana Stevenson and Tineke Hinton lost against a strong Canadian side in the morning, going down 2-0.

The New Zealand Men - Juraj Krajci and Calum Stewart - had a successful outing in the afternoon, beating Saint Lucia 2-0 and securing their sport in the quarterfinals.

“We are stoked to have secured our spot in the quarterfinals, so really hoping to get that win and progress through to the semifinals,” said Stewart.

Stevenson and Hinton will go head-to-head with Trinidad & Tobago in a Quarter-Final Play-Off match tomorrow morning, with the men set to play their Quarter-Final match on Day 5.
