New Zealand's women's beach volleyball team delivered an impressive performance on Day 3 of the Trinbago 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games, securing a convincing victory against the host nation, Trinidad and Tobago.

Kiana Stevenson and Tineke Hinton dominated the match, defeating their opponents 21-9, 21-9.

"It was good; we came out strong and finished really strong which is what we wanted," said Stevenson.

"We didn't know much about the opposition as we hadn't seen them play too much, so our goal was to play to our strengths."

The team is set to play their quarter-final match tomorrow morning against Mozambique.
