Shane O'Brien

O'Brien won a coxless four gold medal at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics and a bronze medal in the New Zealand eight at the 1986 Edinburgh Commonwealth Games.

He taught at an intermediate school in Auckland for some years before moving to England in the early 1990s. In England he has continued his teaching career and has become involved in coaching rowing at school level.
