Debuted for the Black Sticks back in 2001 and has since played 83 times for New Zealand. A steady and reliable defender, who offers the rear ability of playing in all four defensive positions – a skill that makes him a vital part of the team. His career high was being part of the 2004 Athens Olympic team, which finished a highly credible 6th, he sees his consistency as his most valuable asset. Currently working for ACC he also manages to train 12 hours a week. When not in hockey mode he loves to spend time with his wife Sophie.
