Darren is the NZ Men's Vice Captain and a highly experienced midfielder who has played over 160 games for NZ since debuting in 1995. His career spans two World Cups and two Commonwealth Games.  He offers the team flexibility with the capacity to play on the left or right as well as serving as back up penalty corner trapper.  Darren, the North Harbour player/coach suffered leg injury during the early stages of the 2005 NHL but returned to the national side in time for the Oceania Cup in November.
