The New Zealand Olympic Committee is inviting New Zealanders to experience the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games action at NZHQ, the first-ever New Zealand Team winter fanzone.

The fanzone will be located at Après by Cardrona, 50 Cardrona Valley Road, Wānaka, and is open to the public, allowing you to experience the Winter Olympic Games like never before. With multiple viewing areas, we’ll be showing all six Sky Television channels, along with activity zones for the kids, exclusive merchandise for sale, and great food.

Doors to NZHQ open at 2pm on February 5th in time for fans to watch Winter Olympic bronze medallist Zoi Sadowski-Synnott in action in the snowboard slopestyle.

The packed schedule will see New Zealand’s athletes compete in ski racing, freeski slopestyle, freeski big air, freeski halfpipe, snowboard slopestyle, snowboard big air and more during the course of the Games.

International competition will also be screened at NZHQ with ski-jumping, snowboard half-pipe, curling and bobsleigh sure to be fan favourites.

NZHQ will be open daily from the February 5th –20th 2pm – late.

New Zealand Olympic Committee Chief Executive Kereyn Smith says NZHQ will be the perfect place to celebrate our Winter Olympic team.

“As no international spectators are permitted in Beijing to support their teams, we wanted to provide a space for our team’s friends, whanau and supporters to gather, connect with each other, and follow the team. While it’s not the same as being there, it’ll be a fantastic space to cheer on our athletes as they make history and earn the fern in Beijing.”

Come celebrate the Games with us, right here in New Zealand. A nation of teammates, this is your HQ!
