After an encouraging first round, Madaline Davidson narrowly missed out in a place in the women’s individual trampoline final today.

Davidson, 22, scored 47.870 in her first round, which left her 10th among the field of 14, with the first eight to advance to the final.

In her second round, the Christchurch trampolinist ran into a few technical difficulties which dropped her score to 45.270. That gave her a total of 93.140 and left her in 10th spot.

The leading qualifier was Lingling Lu of China with 105.470.
