Shot putter Tom Walsh has thrown a mammoth 22.60m to win the Zurich leg of the Diamond League.

The 26-year-old heaved the record-breaking throw with his second shot of the evening, with the win sealing his second Diamond League title in three years.

The 22.60m throw is the 13th equal biggest throw of all time and is just 6cm shy of Walsh’s personal best. It is also the farthest throw ever at a Diamond League event.
