The first round of Olympic ticket confirmations in New Zealand are to begin on Friday 1 July. Phase I ticket applications opened in April for Kiwi sports fans and since then requests for around 6,000 Olympic tickets have been received. New Zealanders who applied for tickets to London 2012 will start finding out whether their ticket applications were successful from this Friday. New Zealand customers will be contacted by their Harvey World Travel or United Travel representative. The opening and closing ceremonies are expected to attract a high number of applications, as well as more high profile events including major athletics and swimming. Tickets for these events are expected to be very limited. While Kiwi fans may not always get their first choice of tickets, well work hard to ensure each proud New Zealander has a wonderful Olympic experience at London 2012. Any customers who missed out on tickets in the first round will be urged to revise their orders. "The Olympic Ticketing process is extensive," said Commercial Director of the New Zealand Olympic Committee, Terry Daly. "While customers may miss out in Phase I, by revising their orders and waitlisting, we expect to be able to fulfill a large number of Kiwi requests." We know our athletes are excited to have so many supporters planning their trips! Family Tickets Remember, each athlete has access to TWO tickets for family or friends at London 2012 (with the exception of swimming preliminaries and some athletics events where only ONE is allocated). These tickets are collected by a nominated family member or friend in London. Pricing is yet to be confirmed.
