Ski racer Elizabeth Reid wrapped up her final day of competition today with the Slalom.

Although the technical discipline is her preferred event she couldn’t quite find the form she was looking for on course today.

“I’ve had better days,” she remarked after the race.

Elizabeth successfully made it through her first run of two through a particularly tight course but couldn’t find her rhythm on her second run.

“I was just too late (on the turns), too back seat and ended up coming out of the course about halfway down.”

While disappointed not to have finished her race today, Elizabeth says that overall her experience of the Youth Winter Olympic Games has been a hugely positive one as well as a good opportunity to benchmark herself against some of the best young ski racers in the world.

“The whole experience has been amazing, everything has been so much bigger than I was expecting.”
