New Zealanders Frazer Tavener and Maggie Squire finished ninth in the synchronised 3m springboard diving final.

Tavener and Squire totalled 244.89 points, well behind the winners from Scotland, James Heatley and Grace Reid, but comfortably ahead of the other Scottish pair, who placed 10th.

The New Zealanders’ best dive was their final one, an inward 2½ somersault in a tuck position, for which they scored 55.89.

Their other dive that was marked relatively high was their third, a forward 2½ somersault with a twist in pike position. That one, which had a high degree of difficulty, scored 54.90.
