Glasgow 2014 was the second Commonwealth Games for Sun, after she represented New Zealand at the 2010 Games in Delhi where she placed 5th. Sun is a right-handed shake hand defensive player. Recently, Sun and her respective team had great success as overall winners at the 2014 Zen-noh World Table Tennis Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
