Auckland heavyweight Uila Mau'u won bronze in the men's 92kg+ division at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Mau'u won his Commonwealth Games quarterfinal with an impressive knockout but was unable to better English fighter Delicious Orie in his semifinal.
Mau'u competed at the 2020 Asia- Oceania Olympic Qualifiers, beating his Tajikistan opponent but going down to an Australian who eventually placed second at the tournament.
