Christchurch-born Tayla Bruce will compete in her first Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast.
The twenty-three-year-old has been a capped lawn bowls player since 2015, and was a member of the winning team in the 2017 Trans-Tasman series. Tayla attributes her success to the support from her family, her friends, and her Nelson-based personal coach Vince Roper.
Outside of lawn bowls, Tayla recently graduated from University of Canterbury with a Bachelor of Teaching and Learning (Primary). A teacher, Tayla also loves to cook and bake, draw, and spend time with her friends.
