Reg Douglas is currently New Zealand's oldest living Olympian. Born in Auckland in 1930, and later moving to Wanganui where he quickly became one of New Zealand's top rowers in the Coxless Pair and Double Scull with teammate Bob Parker.

Selected for the Vancouver 1954 Commonwealth Games, the pair of Reg and Bob won the Gold medal in the Coxless Pair and took the Silver in the Double Skull.
