Raymond Penny

Auckland based, 18-year-old Raymond will be representing New Zealand in 3 x 3 Basketball at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games. Raymond has previously represented New Zealand at the 2013 Australian Youth Olympic Festival, where the team placed 5^th. Raymond's hobbies include hanging with friends, diving, swimming and going to the gym. He began playing 3 x 3 Basketball in 2011 and is a member of the Waitakere West Auckland Club. So far, Raymond's sporting highlights have been making the Junior Tall Blacks and the NZ U20 Men's Basketball Team. He states that his parents are his role models and his favourite quote is, “Persist through all setbacks and come back even stronger.”
