14-year-old Millie will be representing New Zealand in Artistic Gymnastics at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games. She has previously represented New Zealand at the 2013 Australian Youth Olympic Festival in Sydney, where she placed 5th. Millie was the all-round winner at the Perth International Challenge in 2013, which has been her sporting highlight so far. She studies from home as a student of Te Kura Correspondence School and is a member of the Christchurch School of Gymnastics. She began competing in 2007 and her role models are Kyla Ross, Gabby Douglas, Mckayla Maroney and Shawn Johnson. Her favourite quote is, “Nobody said it would be easy, but everybody said it would be worth it.”
