EVENT: Sailing: Nacra 17 Foiling

Micah Wilkinson and Erica Dawson will be competing in their first Olympic Games just nine months after first teaming up in the Nacra 17.

The duo illustrated their huge potential by finishing seventh at February's Nacra 17 World Championships in Geelong and they will be coached in Tokyo by two-time Olympic medallist Jo Aleh.

Micah enjoyed good success as a youth sailor winning world championship titles in the 29er and Nacra (under-23) before claiming the inaugural Red Bull Foiling Generation World Title with Liv Mackay in 2016. He was also part of the New Zealand team which finished second at the 2017 Youth America's Cup.

Micah hails from Cambridge and learned to sail on Lake Ngaroto.
