Hayden Wilde kicked off New Zealand's Tokyo Olympic campaign with a bang, winning bronze in the men's individual triathlon. It was New Zealand's first medal of the Tokyo Games and first Olympic triathlon medal in 13-years.

Wilde, nicknamed the falcon due to his ability to come from behind, did exactly that in Tokyo, producing a spectacular run in the final leg of the race to claim the third podium spot.
