Ella Hyatt Brown

16-year-old Ella will be representing New Zealand in Women's Hockey at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games. Ella attends Carmel College on the North Shore and is a member of the Takapuna Hockey Club. She began playing hockey in 2004 at age six. So far her sporting highlight has been winning the Oceania Youth Olympic Games qualifier. Ella's role models include her brothers, Stacey Michelson, Luciana Aymar and Rafael Nadal. Her favourite quote is, “Whoever says winning isn't everything, must have never won.”
