17-year-old Casey-Mae will be representing New Zealand in Women's Hockey at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games. Casey-Mae is a student at Nga Tawa Diocesan School and represents her school and Palmerston North Hockey Club in competition. Casey-Mae began playing at age five and says that so far her sporting highlights have been winning the Collier Trophy with Horowhenua in 2009 and being selected for the 2014 Youth qualifying team. Casey-Mae's favourite quote is, “Never a failure, always a lesson.”
