Having just missed medals at both Glasgow and Delhi Commonwealth Games, Ali is aiming for a podium at Gold Coast 2018.
Ali spearheaded the NZ Men's Fours to a World Championship Gold Medal in Christchurch in 2016 and was a member of the team winning the overall Leonard Trophy.
Ali will skip the Men's Fours team as well as Skip the Men's Triples Team.
Originally from Nelson, Ali now lives in Melbourne. Off the golfing green, he enjoys playing golf.
