Alethea Boon

 Alethea Boon will return to the Commonwealth Games 16 years on from her last games appearance at Manchester 2002 as a gymnast. Alethea also competed in gymnastics at Kuala Lumpur 1998.

Alethea discovered weightlifting through crossfit and enjoys the technical side of lifting, which is similar to gymnastics.

She competes in the women's under 58kg weight category and collected two 2^nd place finishes in the Australian Weightlifting Open, and Oceania Weightlifting Championships in 2017.

Alethea was born in Suva, Fiji but grew up in Auckland. She is now based in Sydney Australia.
