Biography

Born and bred in the Hawkes Bay, Shea made his debut for the Black Sticks in 2005. Glasgow 2014 will be the third Commonwealth Games for Shea who represented New Zealand at the 2006 games in Melbourne and the 2010 games in Delhi, where the team placed 3rd. Shea has also competed at two Olympic Games: Beijing in 2008 and London in 2012. Shea is a midfielder, who currently has 204 test caps and his shirt number is 25.
