Biography

Emily debuted for New Zealand in 2004 against Great Britain at the Olympic Qualifying tournament in Auckland. She has since developed into a class centre half and is showing qualities of being a world class player. With speed, distribution and excellent elimination skills Emily is holding her own in the middle. Emily has already played over 100 test matches for New Zealand and still has a long career ahead of her. The Beijing Olympic Games will be her second Olympics after attending Athens as an 18 year old. Career highlights for Emily include the Athens Olympics and winning the Champions Challenge Trophy in 2005. Emily was nominated for the FIH World Junior Player of the Year in 2006 and plays for Central in the New Zealand Hockey League.
