Introduction to Corporate Governance

We are delighted to offer you the opportunity to gain a deeper knowledge of corporate governance.

A one-day Wellington seminar introducing corporate governance, specifically for women, is being jointly organised by the EEO Trust and the Auckland Chamber of Commerce and hosted by Bell Gully to provide essential guidance on what is required from company directors. The cost for this is $250.00 + GST.

This seminar is facilitated by The Boardroom Practice Ltd and will be presented by Janine Smith. Janine's
wide-ranging knowledge and expertise is a result of her experience as a CEO, Executive Director and independent director in the commercial, arts and education sectors in New Zealand and overseas. The content is relevant to women currently seeking directorships and women reflecting on how to plan their careers to position themselves for directorships in the future.

Janine will cover:

Governance Not Management - board purpose, function and roles
Board Structure – board make-up, conflict of interest, board effectiveness and relationships
Effective Board Practice - processes & protocols, monitoring and sub-committees
Legal & Risk - companies & trusts, risk management
