Olympic Studies Centre

The Olympic Studies Centre of the Olympic Museum preserves and promotes the heritage of the Olympic Movement in New Zealand and New Zealand's participation in the Commonwealth Games. We provide an information service to New Zealand Olympic Committee governance, management and member sports. Our resources include:

Library Collection - Books and magazines on the Olympic Movement, the Games of the Olympiad, the Olympic Winter Games and Commonwealth Games, other National Olympic Committees and the heritage of Olympic and Commonwealth sports in New Zealand.

Images and Sound Collection - Photographs, videotapes and posters relating to New Zealanders in the Olympic Movement and the Commonwealth Games. Access to this collection is restricted.

Archives Collection - The administration and Games team management records of the New Zealand Olympic Committee since 1911.

Documentation Collection - Files and fact sheets relating to the Olympic Movement in New Zealand and the Commonwealth Games.
