To foster ethics through sport by promoting fair play, ensuring the Olympic Movement Anti-Doping Code is observed and taking measures against putting athletes’ health at risk. To encourage sports organisations to provide for the social and professional future of athletes, and to oppose any form of discrimination or violence in sport, and political or commercial abuse of athletes.
Cooperation Agreement
In partnership with the Hillary Commission and PENZ these issues have been monitored and discussed. Clive Moon spoke at the PENZ Conference to promote ethical issues.
Publications
Ethics have been promoted through articles in Olympic Magazine and the Olympic Experience.
Anti-Doping Code
Working with the Games Team Management education has been given on the IOC Anti-Doping Code. The IOC stance on illegal drugs has been clearly stated.
IOCs Sports Ethics Award
This award was presented to Michael Jones in 1999 for his outstanding contribution to fostering ethics through sport.
