The New Zealand Diving Team for Glasgow 2014 has been finalised, Li Feng Yang and Liam Stone talk to us about what it means to be selected to represent New Zealand.

1. How does wearing the Silver Fern give you strength?

Liam: It is always an honour to wear the silver fern. The history of it and the success behind it is so great that there is an expectation of performing to the best you possibly can. I don't see this as pressure, I see this as inspiration to perform.

Feng Yang: Pride in being a NZer & that drives my commitment to win at the highest level.

2. What does representing New Zealand mean for you?

Liam: Representing New Zealand has always been a big aspiration of mine and to be given the opportunity to do so is a dream come true

Feng Yang: Proud to represent my new country & raise awareness of my sport in NZ.

3. What are 3 attributes that every Diver needs?

trust (in yourself and your coach) / mental toughness / co-ordinated power

Feng Yang: No fear / self confidence / focus.

4. What's your inspirational quote?

Liam: If you ever feel like giving up, think of how far you have come. If you haven't come far, think of how far you can go

Feng Yang:  'Anything is Possible' - I think of this quote everyday. I have it tattooed on my arm!
