Anthem in Black Songwriting Competition - Create the Soundrack for the London Olympic Games

Play it Strange and the New Zealand Olympic Committee are proud to present the 2011 Anthem in Black Songwriting Competition.

In 2012 New Zealand is back at the Olympic Games. The NZ Olympic Committee is looking for ten anthemic songs that mirror the ambitions for our great athletes.

Anthem In Black is a song search for the "soundtrack of a nation" - songs that a Stadium can sing. Play It Strange, Sportsing, APRA and the New Zealand Olympic Committee are running this competition to find TEN songs for the Anthem In Black CD, each song recorded in a one-day session in a professional studio (see conditions for detail).

The NZ Olympic Committee will promote this CD during the build-up to the Olympic Games.

There are 3 divisions in this competition

1) APRA Members - Four songs will be chosen from entries in this division
2) Secondary Schools - Four songs will be chosen from entries in this division
3)Primary/Intermediate School Ukulele Orchestras Junior Comp - Two songs will be chosen from this division

Ten songs in total are chosen for the Anthem In Black CD.
