Paralympics star Sophie Pascoe added another gold medal to her massive collection when she won the womens SB9 100m breaststroke today.

Pascoe has 10 Paralympics medals, six of them golds, plus five world para titles.

The 21-year-old Cantabrian was in a class of her own in the breaststroke final.

She showed what was likely to happen when she won her morning heat by more than two seconds in a time of 1min 19.71s.

In the final, she was even quicker 1min 19.36s and was two seconds ahead of silver medallist Madeleine Scott of Australia, who was clocked at 1min 21.38s.

Fifteen-year-old New Zealander Nikita Howarth, swimming up a division so she could compete at the games, was seventh in 1min 33.21s.
