Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking for First NZ Capital Rob Hamilton has been reappointed to the New Zealand Olympic Committee board.

Current chair of the audit committee, Hamilton stood uncontested following recommendation to the membership by the Board Appointments Panel.

President of the New Zealand Olympic Committee Mike Stanley congratulated Hamilton on his re-election and said the reappointment was positive.

Rob contributes to a strong and capable board focussed on delivering results for sport and athletes, he said. He is a strategic thinker with a very high degree of financial expertise.

Hamilton has been a board member since 2008 which comprises Liz Dawson, Tony Hall, Simon Wickham (deputy chair), Trevor Taylor, Chantal Brunner, Barbara Kendall and Barry Maister.

The board appointments panel was established in 2012 and comprises member representative Sir John Wells, NZOC Board representative Barry Maister and independent Jane Huria.
