After earning the fern this year at the PyeongChang Winter Games, Gold Coast Commonwealth Games and World Cups and World Championships our athletes are looking forward to kicking their feet up at Xmas! We asked some of them what their plans are:

 

Nico Porteous, halfpipe, bronze medal, PyeongChang 2018

I’ll be spending Christmas in Mount Maunganui with the whole family. Then down in Wanaka for the NY. Hopefully in the sun! Chur!

I'll be back in Hamilton over Christmas spending time with ma and pa and probably floating around the Coromandel on and off! Definitely be doing some training as well, of course!

 I’ll be taking it easy with the family at home in Taranaki. Merry Xmas NZ!

I'll be in full breakdown mode lol. I just got surgery on my hand and I’m getting all my wisdom teeth out next week just before Xmas!

I am heading back home to Whangarei on Friday to spend Christmas at home with my family. We have two weeks where we can train outside of Auckland so ill be doing some training up home and then Sam Webster and I will head back to Cambridge as he’s back into team sessions on the 27th! Will also hopefully be able to get a days or two at Whananaki beach where we have a family bach before we have to head back down to Cambridge!

I’m heading home to Wellington for Xmas and spending Xmas day out on my uncles house boat with the family. Hopefully catching and eating some fish!
