Role in NZ: New Zealand consular response coordinator
What does this mean for Kiwis: We are the people here to help New Zealanders if they get into trouble during the Commonwealth Games. There are about 200,000 New Zealanders living in Queensland as well as the 10,000 New Zealanders expected to travel, not to mention the 251 athletes.
There are a few simple tips that all New Zealanders can follow when they are overseas: take out travel insurance, check travel advice on www.safetravel.govt.nz, register your details on the safe travel website
If you are a New Zealander in need of urgent consular assistance on the Gold Coast during the Games (03 April- 15 April) you can contact the New Zealand mobile consular number on +61450701013
Most looking forward to: I'm a bit of a runner so I'm really looking forward to watching the marathon live on the streets of the Gold Coast
Favourite thing about the ANZ NZ House: It's great seeing all the athletes come in for the medal celebrations. It makes you proud to be a Kiwi
Message to the team: GO KIWI
Available for a call-up for: If there's a late withdrawal from the marathon I've got my running shoes!
