Janina Kuzma is one of the most versatile female freeskiers in the world, competing in big mountain as well as halfpipe.

The announcement in 2011 that freeski halfpipe had been added to the Olympic schedule was the chance for Janina to realise her dream of becoming an Olympian. She met her goal of selection to the NZ team and placed fifth in the halfpipe at the 2014 Games. Since then, career highlights have included winning the overall Sprint US Grand Prix series title for women’s halfpipe in 2015 as well as finishing second overall on the FIS Freeski World Cup tour the same year. 

Janina is delighted to have been selected to represent New Zealand at her second Olympic Games in PyeongChang in February 2018. She is currently at a pre-Games preparation camp in Calgary, Canada.
