One year to go until Kiwis will be in action at the London Olympics, but you can watch them in the test events in the lead up to the Games. Want to experience what the London Olympic Games are like one year out from the event? Then come support the London Test Events and support some of the visiting NZ athletes who are competing. The London 2012 test events, called London Prepares will include the first competitive sports to take place on the Olympic Park. Below is a list of some of the test events already announced. There'll be more to come, so check this page again in future to keep up-to-date. Hadleigh Farm Mountain Bike International The Hadleigh Farm Mountain Bike International will take place on 31 July 2011. The Hadleigh Farm Mountain Bike International will bring some of the world's best mountain bikers to Essex in the UK for a day packed with exciting sporting action. Get a chance to support New Zealand rider Rosara Joseph as she prepares for the 2012 London Olympics.The London 2012 Organising Committee has invited some of the best riders from around the world, with up to 100 athletes from around 25 top-ranking nations expected to attend. The Weymouth and Portland International Regatta 2011 This regatta will take place at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy (WPNSA) and the adjoining commercial Portland Marina from 31 July to 13 August 2011. NZ has representatives sailing at the Weymouth and Portland International Regatta. Windsurfing opens the racing schedule on 4th August with final medal races set for 13th August. See the athletes rehearse in similar conditions to what they could expect for the Olympics at this regatta. BMX at London's Olympic Park 19 August 2011 to 20 August 2011 See top BMX riders compete at London's Olympic Park ahead of the 2012 Games. The third round of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup will take place at London's brand new Olympic BMX Track this summer. Get behind New Zealand athletes Sarah Walker and Marc Willers who have already placed first in finals at the Papendal circuit which has been used as a blueprint for the London 2012 track. Track Cycling 17 February 2012 to 19 February 2012 Get a taste of London 2012 as Track Cycling comes to the Olympic Park Velodrome. In the summer of 2012, the world's top cyclists will compete at the Olympic Park Velodrome as part of the London 2012 Games.
