Applications for the International Olympic Academy for Young Participants are open. The aim of the IOA Session is for participants to gain experience and understanding of Olympic Education and the Olympic Ideals in an international forum in Ancient Olympia so that they can contribute to the on-going promotion of the ideals and principles of the Olympic Movement for the benefit of the New Zealand Olympic Committee and New Zealand in general.
Dates: The dates of the IOA Session run from 23 May 6 June 2015.
Eligibility: Participants must be between 20 and 35 years old (at the time of the Session), and have not previously attended an Annual IOA Session. Only one male and one female from the NZOC are eligible to attend.
Topic: The Olympic Movement with special emphasis on the process of renewal and adaption.
Cost: Olympic Solidarity will cover 50% of the cost of the air ticket for each male and female participant. Accommodation, boarding and transport will be met by Olympic Solidarity
Closing Date: Application forms (including documentation) must be completed and returned to Tara Pryor, General Manager Operations and Programmes at tara@olympic.org.nz by 5.00pm Friday 13 February 2015.
