Leading outdoor advertising company APN Outdoor has today announced a partnership of Olympic proportions, joining forces with the New Zealand Olympic Committee (NZOC) as an Official Partner of the New Zealand Olympic and Commonwealth Games Teams to 2020.

The partnership marks the first time the New Zealand Olympic Committee has joined forces with an Outdoor media provider and is indicative of the growth and anticipated trajectory of the medium. With people spending more time out and about and becoming more selective with the media they consume, Outdoor media provides a globally consumed platform that compliments the universal appeal of the Olympic Games as well as the NZOC’s existing media partners.

2018 heralds an exciting period of sport for New Zealand with three Games Teams set to take to the world stage next year.  In February a team of approximately 20 winter athletes are set to compete in the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea. This is followed closely by a large New Zealand Team heading across the ditch for the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games from April 4 – 16. Finally in 2018, October will see the very best rising stars and young athletes from around the country head to Buenos Aires, Argentina to compete in the third edition of the Summer Youth Olympic Games.
