Double Olympic Shot Put Champion Valerie Adams has won her first post-Olympics meeting in Sweden.
Throwing at the Stockholm Diamond League meeting, Adams has won the competition with a distance of 20.26 metres, beating Olympic Silver medallist Yevgeniya Kolodko from Russia (19.08m) by over a metre. Third was German Christina Schwanitz with 18.72 metres.
Adams earns four Diamond League points for the victory, taking her series total to 12 points, and a clear lead in the series with 4 meetings remaining.
Adams next meeting is the Lausanne Diamond League Meeting in Switzerland on Thursday.
