After 2 races in 2 weeks in Asia I am ready to come home!

The first race being on the 2008 Olympic course in Beijing which was also the World Champ Series Grand Final. I was in great shape and really looking forward to racing. The race was wet from start to finish, and not the normal hot conditions which made for a very cold 40km bike. I came off the bike and ran hard to the finish, coming home in 14th place which I was really happy with.

It was then time to rest and recover and prepare for the next race in Japan in 8 days time. This race being completely the opposite of Beijing with scorching hot conditions reaching 34 degrees which made for one really tough race! I felt fairly tired most the way however managed to hold myself together and finish strong in 13th place. Overall it was great to back up my performance in back to back races.

I am now sitting in the Shanghai Airport on my way back to Pure NZ... and absolutely can’t wait to get there!!
