18-year-old Jackie will be representing New Zealand in Rowing at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games. She is a student at Nga Tawa Diocesan School and is a member of the Aramoho Wanganui Rowing Club. Jackie began competing in rowing in 2011 and so far her sporting highlights have included winning the Maadi Double and being selected for the RNZ Juniors and Youth Olympics. Jackie’s role models are Hamish Bond, Casey Kopua and Richie McCaw and her favourite quote is, “When your body gives up, your heart takes over.”
