OLYMPIC DAY RUN RESOURCES
An Olympic Day Run offers an opportunity for children to get active and to engage in challenges and discussion around the Olympic Values by using the teaching resource above.
We encourage you to offer this opportunity to your students and to reward all who participate with an Olympic Day Run Diploma. The numbers below allow children to create their own unique number as part of the day.
OLYMPIC DAY VALUES AWARDS RESOURCES
An Olympic Day provides an opportunity to focus on the Olympic Values and to acknowledge students who demonstrate the values in their lives. We encourage you to consider all aspects of school life, and to present students with the certificates provided below in recognition of their ability to model excellence, respect and friendship. The following resources provide background for the awards and some ideas on how they might be used - both in class, or in an Olympic Day Assembly. Values Certificates fro awarding are included in the guide.

We recommend that you review the videos that live in the "Inspiration Hub" and consider playing them as a prequel to presenting awards at your Olympic Day Assembly. These videos serve to reinforce the Olympic Values through a celebration of excellence. respect and friendship demonstrated as New Zealand Olympians participate in the Olympic Games.
