The Olympic Movement is one of the most powerful movements in the world. Through our educational programmes, the grassroots promotion of the Olympic values and our celebration at the greatest sporting events in the world, the movement continues to inspire, deliver excellence and bring New Zealand and the world together.

We believe that through sport, New Zealanders become better people. Our focus is youth.

In 2011 ASB Olympic Schools was brought to life. Over 300 schools are part of the magic. Our aim to have over 600 schools part of the ASB Olympic Schools Programme.

ASB Olympic Schools is an exciting programme that has been developed for teachers and primary school students. Using the magic of the Olympic Games and values of the Olympic Movement as a backdrop, ASB Olympic Schools will engage children in a variety of activities and programmes that will inspire them to learn, take part in sport and, ultimately, be better people.

At the heart of the Olympic Schools programme is an exciting array of Olympic-related material including access to Olympians to speak at school events, fun activities, ‘Olympic’ medals and certificates and class-room resources. London 2012 is just around the corner so get on board.
