Education

The goal of the Olympic Movement is to contribute to building a peaceful and better world by educating youth through sport practised in accordance with Olympism and its values.

The New Zealand Olympic Committee aims to work in collaboration with schools and teachers to inspire our young people, through the Olympic Spirit and the celebration of the Olympic Games, to explore and model the Olympic Values in order to become balanced, active and contributing citizens.

In this section you will find a range of resources to support and reinforce the principles, values, key competencies and objectives of the New Zealand Curriculum.  An explanation of this alignment can be found here.
