Veerle te Have is a 17-year-old student of Te Kura representing New Zealand at the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games.

Veerle won her division at the Oceania Championships held in Brisbane in January 2018. During July 2018, she will be racing in France competing in the RS:X youth world championships and will then travel to the United States to compete in the upcoming youth sailing world championships. Shortly after she will return to Europe for the sailing world championships in Denmark where New Zealand's top sailors have their first chance to qualify boats for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, but the Youth Olympics are her first ambition.
